Megan LeeMegan Whitson Lee studied music and vocal performance and received a Bachelor of Arts in Music before she heard ancestral voices calling her to England. She spent a year in London interning as a literary assistant for Soho Theatre Company. Realizing she was really a literary at heart, she returned to the US to earn a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from George Mason University.

Megan joined Pelican Book Group in 2015. As an editor with Pelican Book Group, Megan evaluates manuscripts for acquisition and works closely with authors throughout the publishing process.

Megan is also an author. Her self-published novel, Captives, was a 2016 Selah Award finalist and winner of the 2016 Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writers Conference Director’s Choice Award. Her YA novel, Suburban Dangers, will be released in May 2017 by Pelican Book Group. Both novels tackle the topic of sex trafficking. 

Megan also teaches high school English in Fairfax County, Virginia, where she lives with her husband and two greyhounds.
